Gray Matter is a project that is manifested as sculpture and writings. It was made between 2004 and 2006 in Roanoke, Va. Gray Matter is an extension of the Endless Suture Project. The primary differences between the two sculptures are the color of the faux fur outer material, and the inner material. The Endless Suture sculptures are filled with my junk that outlived its usefulness, and the Gray Matter sculptures are filled with my deceased parents belongings. The meaning/interpretation of Gray Matter is absolutely related to the Endless Suture Project, but introduces a few other ideas to the narrative.
